Mr. Kasahara of CHITOSE Group gave a lecture at the General Research Institute of TOPPAN Holdings Inc.

On Friday, December 6th, Ken Kasahara, Chief Innovation Officer of the CHITOSE Group, gave a lecture at the TOPPAN Holdings Inc. General Research Institute, entitled "Understanding complex social issues as they are and coming up with comprehensive answers - The CHITOSE Group's thoughts on 'bio-ization of industry.'" The lecture was held to explore the possibility of collaboration between the two companies against the backdrop of the capital and business alliance concluded in October, and was attended by a total of over 300 people both offline and online.

Contrasting the bio field with the chemical field, Kasahara touched on the complexity that characterizes the bio field, and spoke about the importance of understanding and solving problems in their complex form, given that many of the social issues facing humanity are becoming increasingly complex. He also introduced the strengths of his business and technologies, including specific examples such as the "MATSURI" project to build an algae-based industry and resource circulation projects, and proposed the possibility of creating new value through collaboration with TOPPAN. During the question and answer session, many questions were asked both in person and online, leading to a lively exchange of opinions. CHITOSE Group will continue to promote the bio-based industry to solve social issues through biotechnology.
