CEO Fujita gave a speech at the 19th Japan-Saudi Arabia Business Council

On Sunday, January 12th, CHITOSE Group CEO Fujita gave a speech at the 19th Japan-Saudi Arabia Business Council (hereinafter referred to as Japan-Saudi BC) held in Saudi Arabia.
The meeting is held periodically to exchange information and promote exchanges on investment, technology, human resource development and other areas with the aim of promoting economic cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia. The symposium was attended by Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Muto from Japan and Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih from Saudi Arabia, as well as more than 150 government officials from both countries and member companies of the Japan-Saudi BC.

At the conference, presentations were given by four Japanese companies. Speaking on the theme of GX (Green Transformation), Fujita declared, "We will turn the desert green along with enormous profits." After the event ended, there was a line of participants who wanted to talk to Fujita. We introduced MATSURI, a project that utilizes photosynthesis as a strategy to dye the desert green, and our company's progress in Chitose Agriculture Initiative.

Several companies gave presentations on the same topic, and after the presentations many questions were asked by local government agencies such as the Ministry of Investment and government-affiliated companies. We will continue to involve local companies and governments and take the lead in establishing a bioeconomy in the Middle East.
