CHITOSE BIO EVOLUTION PTE. LTD., the umbrella company of the CHITOSE GROUP, which promotes the bioeconomy, has received an investment of 1 billion yen from Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (hereinafter, Mizuho Bank).
In February 2023, Mizuho Bank established and has been managing a new "value co-creation investment framework" to support its customers in addressing social issues, creating new demand, and realizing new business models. This investment is part of Mizuho Bank's strengthened "value co-creation initiatives" and is a joint investment with Shiseido Co., Ltd., which invested in our company in July 2023, to support our business.
Chitose Group will further strengthen the world-leading technological capabilities it has cultivated since its founding, and work toward building a bioeconomy through large-scale algae production, utilization of new algae-derived resources, and social dissemination of such resources.
