MATSURI's efforts were introduced as a planned advertisement on Toyo Keizai Online.

On Friday, December 6th, Toyo Keizai Online introduced Chitose Group’s (hereinafter, Chitose) initiative, “MATSURI project”, in a planned advertisement article by Thermo Fisher Scientific Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Thermo Fisher).

At the algae production facility "CHITOSE Carbon Capture Central" (C4) in Malaysia, algae are produced using a device called a "photobioreactor" for cultivating algae, but one of the challenges with outdoor cultivation is contamination. To solve this problem, CHITOSE uses Thermo Fisher analytical equipment, which has enabled them to reduce contamination, quickly identify and address issues, and improve the efficiency of algae quality control. Going forward, the two companies will continue to utilize each other's technologies to work toward further expanding algae production.
