ABOUT MATSURI
WHAT IS MATSURI?
MATSURI IS A BIG FESTIVAL THAT CREATES A SOCIETY BASED ON ALGAE!
In recent news and reports, there is a lot of information about sustainability, SDGs, and ethical issues. Unfortunately, however, there are many cases of greenwashing rather than real efforts.
We at MATSURI are committed to introducing fair and honest projects and products that are aimed at realizing an essentially carbon-neutral society, and we promise that you can be assured of the information that we provide through our "SHOJIKI MATSURI (HONESTY FESTIVAL)". We promise you that you can be confident in the information we provide.
The cultivation of "Algae," on which MATSURI is based, can be done even in wastelands and deserts using the power of the sun (photosynthesis) to contribute to the global issue of carbon dioxide reduction, and is characterized by its extremely high resource efficiency. In addition, Algae, which produce a variety of organic matter, provides a new society not dependent on limited fossil resources and also provides valuable nutrients for healthy human beings.
It is extremely difficult to take ownership of global issues on our own, but together we can protect our loved ones and enrich the future for the next 1,000 years. MATSURI introduces many projects and products created from algae.
Please join and support "MATSURI", and let's accomplish the industrial revolution to create the future together!
WHY ALGAE?
Algae can use the power of the sun (photosynthesis) to contribute to the global challenge of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Algae can grow even in wastelands and deserts, and is a very effective resource. In addition, algae, which produces a wide variety of organic matter, provides not only the foundation for a new society replaced by society based on fossil resources, but also valuable nutrients for healthy human beings.
Oil yield: More than twice as much as palm oil, the most efficient oil producer among land plants.
Protein yield: 16 times higher than soybeans, which have the highest protein productivity in current agriculture.
This indicates that the use of algae is indispensable for the stable supply of a large amount of biomass to society, which is the raw material for various products.
(*)Biomass: Organic resources derived from plants and animals (excluding fossil fuels such as petroleum)
With the use of finite freshwater resources becoming a social issue, algae that can grow in small amounts of freshwater can be used in environmentally sustainable projects for the future.
