On Wednesday, December 18th, CHITOSE Group CEO Fujita appeared at the "Meeting to Discuss Technology Management and New Businesses" held by the co-creation Value Institute, a general incorporated association, at Komore Yotsuya. This event was a gathering of people involved in research and development and new business ventures, mainly from the manufacturing industry. Fujita shared his perspective and strategy on new business ventures, and the audience showed great interest in his presentation.
In the lecture, he explained how the bioeconomy, which is currently attracting attention around the world, contributes to the realization of a sustainable future and introduced the role that CHITOSE Group plays in it. Furthermore, he touched on the recent changes in the environment surrounding venture companies, the selection of technologies in which to invest, and the evolution of the player structure within the industry, emphasizing the importance of correctly identifying the various technologies and players that exist in society. He also explained CHITOSE's emphasis on "a perspective that aims for social implementation and problem solving by starting from social issues." Drawing on his experience, he spoke about strategies for creating businesses that do not rely solely on scientific discovery, as well as the secrets to successfully launching and expanding a new business.
During the Q&A session following the lecture, participants asked a number of enthusiastic questions. One topic that attracted particular attention was "How to address organizational challenges faced when launching a new business." Fujita offered a practical approach, citing concrete examples of how to create systems to increase organizational flexibility. Another key question was, "How can we develop the perspective necessary to develop new business?" Fujita stated that providing a method for setting missions and a forum for carrying out development will lead to the development of new perspectives.
Through this lecture, participants were provided with new perspectives and concrete practical methods for launching new businesses. Fujita's insights based on his own experiences and CHITOSE's strategic approach seemed to be of great inspiration to many of the participants.
