On January 30th (Tuesday), Chitose Group held a closed event with MATSURI's industrial construction partner, Mitsui Kinzoku Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Mitsui Kinzoku), with the aim of revitalizing MATSURI. The event, held at Mitsui Kinzoku's Research Institute/Basic Evaluation Research Institute, was also streamed online, with over 70 participants from both companies.
In the first part, Chitose Group representative Fujita gave a lecture on the future of MATSURI and the "0 to 1" management philosophy for creating new businesses. Why did the Chitose Group decide to start MATSURI? Also, what kind of future will we create? The participants listened attentively for 60 minutes to Fujita's lecture, which interweaved the management philosophy of the Chitose Group, with occasional nods.
In the second part, Mr. Kiyotaka Yasuda, Managing Executive Officer/Head of Business Creation Headquarters of Mitsui Kinzoku, and Fujita talked about their thoughts on participating in MATSURI, the purpose of investing in the Chitose Group, and what they hope to achieve through this project. A session was held. Mr. Yasuda said to MATSURI, ``We would like to contribute with Mitsui Kinzoku's strengths in catalyst technology and separation and purification technology toward building the algae industry that MATSURI aims to achieve and, through this, realizing a carbon-neutral society.'' For companies considering participating in MATSURI, he left the following message: ``Open innovation by companies from different industries is essential to building an algae industry.We would like you to consider participating in MATSURI.'' The event concluded with a message to our colleagues who will work with us to create the future that MATSURI aspires to.
