Chitose Group promotes the realization of carbon neutrality through the production of algae using photosynthesis (autotrophic method) in the project "MATSURI" to build a new algae-based industry to replace the oil industry, and at the same time collaborates with partner companies. We are engaged in business development, and are working to popularize algae products that support people's lives, such as fuel, plastics, food, and cosmetics.
The recently completed C4 is an algae production facility that achieves efficient algae production and scale-up, and is currently the largest scale in the world. We will establish a system that can supply 140,000 tons/year (dry weight) of algal biomass at a production cost of /kg or less.
